Managed websites

What should a managed website include?

A managed website plan should tell you what gets built and what happens after launch. Use a written checklist to compare the services, responsibilities and ongoing costs.

Start with the job your website needs to do

A useful business website explains your services, helps visitors decide whether you are a fit and gives them a clear way to enquire. Before discussing design, list the pages you need, the action visitors should take and who will respond. A simple enquiry website and an online store have different requirements. Ordering, payments, product catalogues and booking integrations should be discussed explicitly.

Separate the build from ongoing care

The build covers agreed pages, navigation, mobile layout and enquiry paths. Ongoing care covers the tasks specified in your package, such as hosting, routine maintenance and small content changes. A new page, redesign or complex integration can be a separate project. Ask who provides text and images, who approves the draft and what is checked before launch.

    What YungsEnterprises currently lists

Our managed website plan is a monthly plan that covers an initial build of up to five pages, hosting, an enquiry form and routine maintenance. It includes two small updates each month, up to 30 minutes each. Separate websites, custom booking systems, ecommerce and integrations are scoped and quoted separately. Domain registration and third-party usage fees are listed separately in your proposal. The CRM & AI package is a separate service. The current price is on our Pricing page. Your written proposal sets out what you receive; ask for a written scope before starting.

Questions to ask before you choose

    • Which pages and features are included?
    • Who supplies the content and images?
    • Where do enquiries go?
    • What counts as a small update?
    • What happens when included update time is used?
    • Which ongoing fees are separate?
    • What are the written ownership, access, cancellation and transfer arrangements?

When you may need more than a website

If customers need to log in, see project updates, upload files or complete a multi-step process, discuss a client portal or custom app. If your team needs better follow-up, a CRM workflow may be more useful than another page.

    Your next step

Write down the pages you need, the enquiry action and the changes you expect each month. We can then confirm the package fit, scope and price.

    Check the build scope

List the pages, content responsibilities, forms and any booking or payment connections. Confirm what mobile review, accessibility checks and enquiry testing will be completed before launch. A demo or design preview should be clearly labelled.

    Check ongoing care

Ask which hosting, security tasks, backups, content updates and support are included. Define the size and frequency of updates, response expectations and how extra work is quoted. A monthly fee alone doesn’t explain the service.

    Check ownership and visibility

Confirm who controls the domain, business accounts and analytics. Ask what can be exported or handed over if the service ends. SEO work should be itemised so you can distinguish technical setup from new content and ongoing optimisation.

    Agree the launch check

Review contact details, page content, forms and connections together. Keep an agreed record of what was tested and which items remain open.

    Questions before you start

    Does managed mean unlimited changes?

Only if the agreement explicitly says so. Check update limits, turnaround expectations and charges for larger changes.

    Is my domain included?

It depends on the agreement. Confirm domain registration, renewal, ownership and account access separately.

Will a managed website guarantee rankings?

No. Search visibility depends on technical access, useful content, competition and other factors beyond the maintenance plan.
